Being able to help people understand the loan process — and feel comfortable with it — is a gift. That’s why I enjoy what I do.
I’ve been working in the real estate profession since 1992 and have been in lending at Network Mortgage since 1996. I love working in a small company in the wholesale side of lending, rather than a large bank because it has given me a lot of experience in all aspects of loan production.
What I do
I am involved in the processing of a client’s loan from the very first contact through the signing of their loan documents at the end of the transaction, and it has helped me become a better loan officer. There is a lot to know and more to learn every day in this profession, but helping people understand the process and feel comfortable with it is a gift, and it’s why I enjoy what I do.
It’s about people, not numbers
Many people have mentioned to me over the years that they could “never do my job” because they are “terrible with numbers.” The truth is, working with clients on the largest financial transaction of their lives has less to do with numbers and everything to do with understanding how to work with people.
My home town
I love that our company is based in Chico, California — it’s been a wonderful place to raise a family and there’s a great sense of community here. I’ve been a member of the Noon Exchange Club of Chico for many years and am involved in community fundraising and charitable endeavors through this great service organization.
